The E2-CUTIES partners met in Utrecht to advance their collaboration

From 23 to 25 September 2025, the twelve project partners met in Utrecht (NL).

From 23 to 25 September, the twelve E2-CUTIES project partners gathered in Utrecht to further advance their collaboration.

Pilot sites' challenges: moving forward

The meeting provided an opportunity to take a deep dive into the challenges faced by each pilot site, which had been analysed over the past months. A synthesis of these findings is currently being developed. The next step will be to focus on the most critical challenges. Identifying which ones are the most strategic was the central topic of the first Community of Practice session. Together, the partners established a list of priorities among the identified challenges. Through the Community of Practice, they will continue to collect key insights throughout the project’s duration to address these issues locally.

Getting inspired by the Utrecht pilot sites

Over three productive days, the partners also visited the three pilot sites in Utrecht, Oog in Al, Lunetten, and Noordoost, allowing other pilot teams to observe similarities and differences with their own local contexts and to draw inspiration from them. The citizens involved in the local citizens cooperative were present to present their situation and to inspire the other partners’ citizens cooperative representatives present during the visits.

The meeting was very fruitful as it managed to connect diverse profiles of the partners among similar profiles and with other partners, to collect key information on public-civic partnership, the future of local energy, and to identify concrete next steps to ensure the success of the project.

All partners are now looking forward to meeting again in April 2026 in Copenhagen.
